Vascular Embolotherapy and Nerve interventions Targeting Inflammation and pain
The VENTI conference serves as a platform for international colleagues from around the world who are dedicated to the innovative approach of "pain treatment through vascular embolization."
Attendees will acquire comprehensive knowledge on disease fundamentals, mechanistic insights, patient selection, embolization techniques, and postoperative follow-up. This conference also facilitates in-depth discussions with experts who have extensive experience in MSK embolization.
In recent years, MSK embolization (TAME) techniques have gained rapid acceptance globally. These techniques are now being applied not only to conditions such as frozen shoulder and knee pain but also to sports injuries, lower back pain, neck pain, hand osteoarthritis, chronic prostatitis, and the pain associated with internal hemorrhoids.

Our daily practice involves listening to and treating patients suffering from pain in various body parts, leading to the development of new treatment methods to alleviate their pain. Against this backdrop, we encourage participation from not only physicians specializing in embolization but also those from orthopedics, rehabilitation, urology, proctology, gynecology, and other related fields.
The VENTI conference is designed to ensure that the latest treatment methods are continually updated and to facilitate deep discussions on implementing these treatments safely and effectively, transforming previously untreatable conditions into manageable ones.
Message from Yuji Okuno, M.D., Ph.D.

It has been over a decade since the publication of the seminal paper on MSK embolization, introducing a treatment that mitigates inflammation by embolizing inflammatory neovessels.
Initially, only a few physicians practiced this new mechanism-based treatment, and it remained relatively unknown. However, today, many physicians globally have embraced this pain embolization treatment, demonstrating a level of interest beyond our expectations. As we engaged with patients suffering from pain and developed new treatments, the scope of treatable conditions expanded, and the number of patients we could assist increased daily.
During my presentations on these accumulated cases at various international conferences, I have had the opportunity to meet and engage with many physicians interested in this treatment. It became clear that there is a wealth of topics and knowledge we wish to share with one another.
Therefore, I aimed to establish a platform and a network to address these needs and facilitate effective collaboration among international colleagues.
By organizing an international conference dedicated to MSK Embolization (TAME), we can create a platform where physicians with similar aspirations can convene from around the world to learn and discuss the treatment methods.
I am confident that this conference will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for many individuals.

He worked at Edogawa Hospital, and assumed the position of Director of the Musculoskeletal Catheter Center. In October 2017, he opened Okuno Clinic in Yokohama, and currently operating 10 clinics nationwide as the Chief Director.
He delivers over 30 invited lectures annually in 10 or more countries, engaging in activities such as television appearances, media interviews, and paper writing to promote awareness, dissemination, and instruction of TAME therapy.
In 2023, he received the Award of Excellence and Innovation in IR at the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE 2023) conference for his contributions to the advancement of interventional radiology.
Message from Gerard Goh, MBBS, FRANZCR

We are delighted to welcome you to the Vascular Embolotherapy and Nerve interventions Targeting Inflammation and pain (VENTI) conference to be held in Tokyo Japan.
MSK embolization has rapidly gained popularity as a treatment option for many patients, in particular for those with treatment resistant pain or chronic pain. The VENTI conference aims to provide attendees with the latest knowledge, techniques and practical tips in MSK embolization but also pain interventions. We are joined by an esteemed faculty of regional and world experts in these areas.
We look forward to your presence at this inaugural VENTI Meeting!
